The Study Of WebGIS Based On Flex_REST

WebGIS combines GIS with web technology, quickly developed in recent years. With increasing requirements on the WebGIS, GIS functionality and business logic more complex, traditional Web technologies can not meet the continued development of WebGIS. When RIA technology emerges, it combines the interactive experience on desktop applications with traditional Web application deployment flexibility, well satisfying the needs of the users.Based on research and computer the latest technology home and abroad, the author introduces Adobe Flex technology as WebGIS client presentation layer, which greatly improves the performance of WebGIS and the user experience. Then study and design the REST style framework to WebGIS. Developed in this way, WebGIS system is simple, flexible, and reduces the burden on the server, which makes the client responsive to the user experience of greatly improved. The author uses Flex Builder framework to develop the WebGIS system and applies ArcGIS Server REST API resources to achieve some of the basic functions of GIS. The Experimental results show that it has great advantages used Flex and REST.Compared with the traditional WebGIS system, this system overcomes the poor interaction, slow response and other defects shows richer, more experience of the user interface, providing a new mechanism for the application of WebGIS.
