As electronic technology, X86 architecture continues to mature, its low-power, high-performance features to meet the wearable computer scenarios of the complexity of the image acquisition, data processing capacity of special needs.In this paper, based around the X86 architecture design of a new generation of wearable systems to discuss in detail the design process of key technologies, with VIA Eden processor, VX800 chipset, which satisfies the Hands Free and comfort, the requirements were described from five aspects system design:(1) Analysis and identification of a new generation of wearable computer design project of the core calculation module. Including the selection and hardware design platform functionality, performance requirements; and can be worn for the special needs of conducting a feasibility assessment.(2) According to the core module, the external module, power supply requirements of the system's power management system design. Each module is given the power allocation scheme, and its realization.(3) Has been built according to a new generation of wearable computer's hardware architecture, design the system function modules of the circuit, including CPU core modules, DDR2 modules, clock circuit and the external interface circuit (USB, audio, video) and so on.(4) Hardware system, PCB design and simulation. To extract high-speed circuit board PCB design in the key issues, such as laminated design, layout, design and protection of critical signals. And a series of high-speed signal lines for simulation and design ideas to improve and design principles.(5) The establishment of system debugging environment, is given to debug programs, test results are discussed.In this paper, top-down design for the new generation wearable computer system hardware design. The designed system is running well, to meet the design requirements.
