In recent years, with the rapid development of microelectronics technology and computer technology, computer hardware technology improved a lot and the ultra microminiaturization of components become popular. As a result, Wearable computer came into being in. It is the inevitable outcome of this idea which is "people-oriented, human-computer in-one".Wearable computer's volume is small, but Wearable computer is equipped with all the features of an ordinary computer. Compared with the traditional computer, wearable computer has different characteristics, which are listed as following:1. Mobility, Wearable computer was not like an ordinary computer limited by the location and time constraints; 2. freeing our hands; 3. Sensors, wearable computer perceives the surrounding environment and accesses information through a variety types of sensors.4. Work continuity; 5. Wireless network capability, wearable computer can be used as stand-alone network node through the wireless interconnection; 6.Low-power consumption, battery was mostly used to supply power for the wearable computer, which means the power consumption can not be too high; 7. As a union with the user, the wearable computer could play as union with user's clothes. Since wearable computer's small and portable, it has important application value for liberation of hands of the application.The topic of our research work is "battery-power supply system design for wearable computer and low-power technology research", the main research work includes:first, study the system architecture of wearable computer according to the needs of the application; Secondly, design and implement the battery-powered systems of the wearable computer considering the power supply needs; third, study the low-power technology and adopt suitable low-power technology as low-power strategy of wearable computer.This thesis discusses the architecture of wearable computers, and expounds that battery-powered circuit's design and implementation on the basis of different supply voltages, as well as battery charging circuit's design and implementation, through commonly used low-power technologies'research and adoption of appropriate low-power technologies to achieve wearable computer's low-power. The paper finally verifies the effect of low-power, through contrast the specific power consumption data of the wearable computer in low-power technology and the corresponding data of the wearable computer without low-power technology, so see that the used low-power technologies in this paper could significantly reduce the wearable computer's power consumption. The study will help to achieve a wearable computer which is used in the field of medical monitoring.
