Wireless sensor network is a large-scale low-power wireless sensor nodes self-organizing network, as a new type of access to information processing technology, wireless sensor networks can be widely used in environmental monitoring, medical, military, home networking and other applications. In environmental monitoring applications, through the arrangement of sensor nodes in the scheduled area, and through its acquisition-related data is processed through a number of routes sent to the remote monitoring and control platform, allowing real-time remote monitoring personnel to monitor the specific circumstances of the target area.IEEE 802.15.4/Zigbee used as a specialized field of wireless sensor networks for wireless short-range communication technology standards has been more and more used in practical applications. However, it is precisely because of the wireless sensor network applications is too wide, making ZigBee standard general-purpose high, and in the specific application environment the result is not very satisfactory. Therefore, specific application design specialized and efficient routing protocol is one of the hot current research.This paper first outlines the characteristics of wireless sensor network architecture and research status, and wireless sensor networks in the various key technologies. Then presents the current routing protocols for wireless sensor networks at home and abroad reviewed. Then analysis of the current technical standards for wireless sensor networks IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee and a detailed analysis of its routing protocols; third chapter on the current field of wireless sensor networks a variety of study and classification of routing protocols, on this basis, the integration of environmental monitoring application of energy-constrained, data-flow regularity and other characteristics, we propose an improved method of the existing ZigBee routing protocol, the method by energy classification, optimization of ZigBee network, networking, improved routing method used to make it special the field of environmental monitoring. Then in the OPNET simulation software to build IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee simulation platform, respectively, the agreement will improve the original protocol in simulation platform to achieve, by comparison of their performance, we can see that the improved survival time in the network protocol, communication delay When the key factors of the performance is more superior than the original agreement. Improvement is feasible.Finally, we CC2430-based hardware platform transplant the commercial ZigBee protocol stack Z-Stack. And successful implementation of this platform network group of the ZigBee network, and its network of distribution, routing and other aspects of test validation.
