Wireless Sensor Network(WSN), which is made by the convergence of sensor, nested computation, networks and wireless communication technologies, is a novel technology about acquiring and processing information. As the first of ten kinds of emerging technology that deeply affect human future life, it demonstrates comprehensive applicable prospect in many fields, such as military, medicine, space exploration, industry, civilian and home networks.By using a large numbers of sensor nodes which are spreaded in a certain area, WSN can gather and process the information that we need and then send it by a self-organizing and multi-hop network to the people who need information and data in the special area obtained in time.Though demonstrating comprehensive applicable prospect, it is limited in many fields like compute ability, memory size, node energy and bandwidth. if we want to use it easily, we should work out a lot of questions. At present, one of the main questions we should be faced with is designing a high efficiency route protocol that can satisfy demand.In this thesis, the background, application of wireless sensor network and the study actuality of the world are intruduced at first.Then the characteristics and representative route protocols of wireless sensor network are analyzed and compared from their advantages and disadvantages that proposed by oversea researchers. After that, a route protocol named lianyi is introduced and analyzed particularly, and a new route protocol named lianju for WSN is put forward through improving the disadvantage of lianyi route protocol. The new potocol improves the fairness of the contention by using data aggregation technology, which can reduce the redundancy of the transmiting data, extend the life of the network, set a few limited condition to send hello frame to reduce the routing spending, increase the number of the neighbor tables to avoid transmiting the unwanted data to the nodes which are absent in the network.Then,lianyi route protocol and lianju route protocol are simulated and compared by the OPNET platform. According to the result, the lianju protocol is obvious better than the lianyi route protocol in the fields such as life of network, data receiving, routing spending, meeting the requirements expected.Finally, the improved lianju route protocol is implemented on the platform based on CC1010. Several experiments are designed to testify the system. According to the result, the improved lianju route protocol meets the requirements of WSN such as collecting temperature. It is useful for deeper research in WSN route protocol.
