RFID is a technology which can transmit signals via electromagnetic wave and identify relevant information automatically, conveniently, and accurately. Extremely large mount of research has been conducted on this technology in IT industry and logistics, including government, logistics (delivery included), manufacture, transportation, communication, etc. It's widely accepted that RFID is one of the most promising technology in this century. With the fast development of economy, China is becoming one of the biggest EPC (Electronic Product Code) customers. Since Premier Wen proposed that China should have its own Internet of Things, government and business begin to support it. From then on, Internet of Things and RFID technology are closely connected. Moreover, farther and faster transmission and capability of identifying more tags make UHF RFID the core technology of EPC. So that research on the key technology of UHF RFID is meaningful.Based on the recent ISO/IEC 18000-6B/C standard, this paper first briefly introduces the principle of RFID system and the electronic circuit of the tag. Then it focuses on the designation of front RF analogy circuit of passive RFID chips on UHF band. Meanwhile, this paper analyses the parameters of high efficient schottky diode rectifier, low power voltage regulator and power-on-reset circuit in detail and presents the design solution based on the TSMC 0.18um CMOS mixed signal technology. Then it simulates the designed circuit before layout, makes the coherent layout and provides the simulation results of the layout. The circuit in the paper based on TSMC 0.18um has been tapped out with coherent simulation result.
