Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology provides an automatic, accurate and convenient method to capture information. With the development of information technology, RFID's applications increase rapidly and widely. And, RFID will become one of the fundamental technologies in the future information society. With the great development of global economy, especially the presentation and popularization of Logistics Network, All walks of life demand for ultra-high frequency (UHF) long-range RFID system, and it has become increasingly urgent. In China, the research and application of UHF long range passive tags is still in its infancy. During the following years of the development of Logistics Network, China will become one of the largest Electronic Product Code (EPC) consumers, and UHF RFID technology is just the core of EPC technologies. Therefore, this research is of great significance.Basing on the newest ISO/IEC 18000-6 C standards, this dissertation mainly focuses on the RF and Analog module of UHF RFID passive tag chip, and it analyzes the key specifications. Firstly, the RFID Technology Trends and the level of RFID technology at home and abroad are briefly analyzed and introduced in this dissertation, which proves the great importance and guides our design of tag chip. Secondly, it presents the principle of RFID tag system. Then, voltage benchmark regulation circuit and backscatter modulation circuit of RF and Analog module are analyzed and designed in detail, including layout design. At last, it provides the simulation results, the whole tag chip layout and the tset strategy.All the circuits are designed with TSMC 0.18um technology.
