Struts-based Office Automation Framework Design

Compares with the rapid development of the information technology and the the Internet,the traditional office methods in our government departments and institutions is seriously lagging behind. Along with advancement in information technology, all departments in our country is trying to build modern office automation systems to adapt it. In practical operations, some deficiencies in present office methods have been found out in Zizhong County of Sichuan Province:the substantial waste of material resources and human resources due to the inconvenient delivery and modification of paper documents; meanwhile, the office completely inefficiency affected by geographical location. Therefore, it has been become a fundamental problem to build a set of office automation system which is based on B/S access method.First of all, the necessity of building Struts-based office automation system is discussed by discussing clearly the current situation and problems of the traditional office methods in Zizhong County of Sichuan Province. Secondly, the main functions of the proposed office automation system are discussed and the core precess such as sending and receiving files, user management, conference management are analyzed. Thirdly, the structure of the system is analyzed and then the subsystem for text management,user management, conference management, public information management and file management is fully designed where the integration of the Struts-based system is emphatically analyzed. Finally, the office automation system designs a summary about the whole article.
