Rfid Communication Software Design

RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) is a technology of Automatic Identification which does not need contact.It can get useful data from target through radio frequency. The task of identification does not need manual operation. It can work in many kinds of bad environment. RFID technology can identify the object of high speed and can identify many labels at the same time. The operation is convenience.Communication Software is very useful in RFID system. It contacts the Application Software and hardware. Communication Software can operate hardware directly. The hardware offer service of basic data transfer. The software can offer more functions such as error control stream control, connection establish and etc. The Application Software can use the service of Communication Software and do not need to know how hardware works.This paper research typical application in two frequency band which use RFID Communication Software. One is the application which works in 125KHz. The chip Hitag S transponder and EM4095 which is used is produced by company of Philips. The task of software is initializing the chip, offering man-machine interface, using serial port to control RW chip to accomplish the work of select transponder, transponder authenticate,read memory page, read memory block,write memory page,write memory block and etc.Another application is in frequency 5.8G. 5.8G band mainly used in Transport industry.The typical application is ETC(Electronic Toll Collection) system. The processor used is PXA270 of Intel.The main task is accomplish the DSRC(Dedicated short range communication) Protocol Software of RSE(Road Side Equipment),including definition interface between processor and circuit,the design of interface driver, the coding of protocol software of Data Link Protocol.
