As a special kind of newspaper,Tabloid was very popular in China in 1930s,and "Lihpao" which was founded by Cheng SheWo was undoubtedly the the most successful one."Lihpao" had many brilliant journalists and editors,but the most important person was its founder Cheng SheWo,the guy whose mature and systematic thoughts of tabloid led "Lihpao" up to the peak of tabloids.In order to enrich journalistic theory,this article takes a deep look at the particularity of "Lihpao" with content analysis method.Based on this,the article analyzes Cheng's tabloid thoughts,and stretches out the origin of Cheng's journalistic thoughts.It also brings together the social background to figure out why "Lihpao" made such a big success and its positive influence to the society.This article tries to make a just evaluation of Cheng's tabloid toughts from the perspective of the history of Chinese journalism.Here,I wish the article could have some inspiration to the progress of China's modern journalism development.
