In recent years, with the acceleration of the process of industrialization in media, the transition of media market from a seller's market to a buyer's market, the competition among the media is becoming increasingly fierce, and the media business is paid more attention to. As the commonly used means in marketing activities——event marketing, is used in media for reference in this environment ,to enhance the operating performance and brand image.In order to adapt to new demands of the changes in the media environment, and actively explore its own development direction, the media has actually become the direct participants and the organizers of social activities for economic development. Media event marketing, is that the media adjusts to changes in the objective environment, and the performance of a subjective initiative. In this sense, from the perspective of communications and economics, the application of marketing principles to interpret the event marketing of the media, the research of the status in media event marketing and to explore development measures of media event marketing, will be beneficial for understanding and using event marketing, and promoting the continuous development of the media.The domestic research on event marketing has been in detail described, but the newspaper media event marketing also unusual. Integrating the methods of comparative analysis and the linking theory with reality in this paper, analyzing the present situation in newspaper media event marketing, the author has put forward some views.This paper defines the meaning of newspaper event marketing, analyzes the status of newspaper event marketing in our country, for development of further analysis of the marketing activities of the status of newspapers, shows the type and characteristics of Chinese current event marketing in newspapers, and sums further up the problems about the newspaper event ,at last, provides the necessary strategies, and simultaneously predicts the future trend of development in newspapers event marketing, in purpose of providing w a theoretical basis and practical guidance for newspaper event marketing.
