In the end of the Qing Dynasty, the traditional agriculture of China can't adapt to the needs of the community. Modern agricultural science and technology in western country afferented to China gradually. "Beizhi Agriculture Journal" (1905) was founded in Baoding, by the students of Higher Agricultural School in Zhili Province .It has made outstanding contributions to the conversion from traditional to modern agriculture in Zhili Province even in northern China. This article investigated from the news media's perspective on the magazine form, the dissemination of content, mode of transmission, and analyzed its strong local characteristics imposed what impact and characterization. on the magazine .I collected some of the original magazine, and analyzed with the methods of historical data study on the original magazine combined with other historical documents .With " revitalizing agriculture, opening the mind of people" for the purpose, "Beizhi Agriculture Journal is the first agricultural science and technology journals in Northern China, and its' spread transmission was compound, the typical mode performance for education communication - Journal communication - social education communication. It was also a product of New Deal by Yuan Shikai in Zhili province and had the symbol of political culture of this region .This journal tried to use the issue of literary genre such as agricultural opera, poetry agronomy,to spread agricultural science and technology content. It developed China's science and technology vernacular precedent. "Beizhi Agriculture Journal " tried their best to build atmosphere of public opinion," developing agriculture to strenthen the country ",promoting industrial salvation, stimulating people's patriotism. In the Channels of dissemination, it carried out the third transmission of Western Agricultural Science and Technology. Its process behaved as follows: Western modern agricultural science and technology - modern agricultural science and technology of the West learned by Japan-Japanese teachers and books in Zhili Higher Agricultural School - " Beizhi Agriculture Journal " founded by Zhili Higher Agricultural School students - the farmers in majority of northern China. It was the most critical link between the most advanced agricultural science and technology in modern western and China's farmers.
