With the development of communication and radar, people put forward high request of the correspondence system. Because millimeter-wave can provide ability of fast speed date delivery and the wide bandwidth, it becomes more valued in information ages. So the low price, small bulk and high performance of front-end RF become more and more important. In this dissertation, A Ka band multiplier is developed, which can be used for local oscillator. PHEMT devices is used for doublers whose input circuit is microstrip line, and output circuit is rectangular waveguide. The experimental results exhibit conversion-gain is 10dB from 26.5GHz to 37GHz and 37GHz to 40GHz when input signal is 10dBm. At the same time, the basal theory of waveguide to microstrip probe transition is analyzed. Then, the structure is optimized using HFSS. The doubler's size is reduced adopting PHEMT chips second integration. It has more wide application foreground than traditional doubler and is the development trend of next generation doubler.
