Millimeter-wave multiplier can decrease main vibration frequency of equipments of millimeter-wave and extend the band of the equipments. It also can make equipments of millimeter-wave have the characteristics of modulation and demodulation which is the characteristics of devices in microwave. The short millimeter wave source of low power and submillimeter source is usually made by millimeter-wave multiplier at present.This dissertation mainly presents a design of a millimeter-wave multiplier which can output signals with the frequency from 27~42GHz. The main content is as follows: design of diodes of anti-parallel pair; the matching circuit of diodes; low-pass filter; high-pass filter; structure of transition from microstrip to waveguide.The dissertation is consisted of four parts. Millimeter-wave and millimeter-wave multiplier are introduced in general in the first part. In this part, the dissertation presents the background and present situation of millimeter-wave multiplier. The index and task of the design are given out at the end of this part. In the second part, the dissertation discusses the theoretical knowledge of designing the millimeter-wave multiplier. It contains: ways of generating the odd-multiple frequency and the even-multiple frequency; the circuit structure of diodes of anti-parallel pair and the harmonic characteristics of the circuit structure; the classification and features of diodes used in engineering; transmission line theory of microstrip, waveguide, strip-line and substrate integrated waveguide; the theory of filters on aspects of main parameters, filter prototype and design methods; waveguide transition technology. In the third part, dissertation presents the process of designing the actual circuit with the theory above and EDA tools. It contains: the design of filters of low-pass and high-pass; diodes of anti-parallel pair and its matching circuit. The dissertation gives out the process of making the circuit, installation of the devices and the test results. At the end of the dissertation, the advantages and the disadvantages are summarized out from this graduation project. And it will do some help in the future work.
