The data acquisition is the bottleneck of the design of the real-time and high speed CCD camera. Serial communication is more convenient to use, and it is used widely. 1394 and USB are the most popular in serial communication. 1394b protocol which is developed on 1394a defines the highest speed 3.2Gps in data transfer, so the research about 1394 has important meaning.The data acquisition based on USB is very popular in our nation, but The data acquisition basede on 1394 is just beginning, this dissertation provides referece about this fields.The CCD system in acquisition based on 1394 bus is designed in this dissertation, which is a effective way of data acquisition, and lay a foundation for the system in acquisition based on 1394b protocol. The dissertation mainly focused on the following research works:The structure, operating principle and output signals of CCD camera are presented, IEEE 1394-1995 and 1394a protocol is researched. The work of link layer controller and physical controller is researched, and a design of data acquisition based on PDI1394L40 and PDI1394P25 which are based on IEEE 1394 is given. Draw the schematic and Printed Circuit Board of the system.P89LV51 act as MCU which implement the transaction layer which is defined in IEEE 1394 protocol in the system. The MCU construct the asynchronous data packets which is defined in IEEE 1394 protocol,then send the packets to link layer controller. The MCU also read asynchronous data packets from link layer controller, and analyze the header of the packets, and store the data, and sent response packets. The MCU configure the registers in PDI1394L40 and PDI1394P25.The experiment shows that configuration ROM succeed and system work stably.
