Optical Transport Network is the goal of the next generation optical transmission network.Its most significant advantage is that flexibly switching/routing optical wavelength channel in optical domain is achieved.Now,the reliable solution scheme of optical transport network is based on bringing OADM device and OXC device to building the transmission nerwork.Optical Transmission Unit,which is an important sub-function unit of OADM device and OXC device.Optical Transmission Unit not only play the role of optical wavelength convertion,but also achieved the function of flexibly switching/routing optical wavelength channel in optical domain based on digital wrapper technology which is advertised in standard document ITU-T G.709.As Optical Transmission Unit is the key to achieve the next generation of optical transport network, its research has a very important meaning.This paper mainly introduces a hardware resolve scheme for the Optical Transmission Unit used in the application of data bit rate at 10Gbps level. Content includes: The whole principle design of Optical Transmission Unit,The circuit design of Optical Transmission Unit,Verification of Optical Transmission Unit. The reasonable,effective hardware resolve scheme play a prodominant impact in the development of optical transport network.
