Based On Knowledge Of The Knowledge Organization Research

Knowledge organization and knowledge services belong to the library services, and their ultimate aim is to provide users with knowledge that can solve problems. The difference between them is that, knowledge organization works 'behind the scenes', which is the internal performance of library and intelligence service, but knowledge services perform 'in the front stage', which are the external performance. Both of them will affect the social benefits and influence of the whole library and intelligence services. However, the current researches on knowledge organization and knowledge services are separate. The paper attempts to do a joint study on them, in order to fill some research blanks and have some useful effects on practice.There are four parts in the dissertation. The first part describes the research background, current research situation at home and abroad, basic ideas, research purpose and significance. The second part explains the meaning and characteristics of knowledge services, analyses the inevitability of knowledge services and the advantages that library and intelligence institutions carry out knowledge services. The third part is about knowledge organization, including the meaning of knowledge organization, organizational principles and methods, relationship between knowledge organization and knowledge services. The last one analyses the organizational characteristics of ISI Web of Knowledge and CNKI, draws two experience from the analysis: one is that knowledge resources should be comprehensive, the other is that take the knowledge element as the basic organization unit. In addition, discusses other issues on knowledge services: human resources, organization structure and combination of Web 2.0.
