In the field of laser fusion (ICF), the multiplex shooting laser pulse should be consistent in waveform and energy. Meanwhile, high consistency in time is also needed. The multiplex shooting laser pulse should be strictly consistent in time domain. The requirement for synchronize accuracy is 10ps, which is two magnitudes higher than that of global positioning system. At the same time, the oscillator stage, premagnification stage and intensifier stage of the SG-III prototype module and the diagnose equipment of laser and physical experiment all require high accuracy of synchronization system.Digital delay pulse generator, which is used to solve the problem of large jitter in the output of ultrashort laser impulse, is a kind of digital synchronization system with high accuracy and large delay range. As to different delay time, it uses digital delay, analog delay and jitter compensation to realize synchronization regulation in the range of 0~1s and combine the digital delay and analog delay both ensure the synchronize modulation accuracy and broaden the synchronize tunning range to satisfy the experimental requirement of different delay time and delay accuracy in transition points between delay slots. In the digital delay circuit, previous large amounts of counters used for different delay periods are replaced by FPGA in design and simulation. After the replacement, the design of the circuit becomes more convenient and flexible, the output accuracy and ability to prevent interference of the circuit are better, and the volume of the circuit decreases.This high accuracy digital delay pulse generator can also be used in the synchronize trigger of synchrotron radiation beamline system, opto communication research field, optically pump system, energy system and beam steering system.In this paper, detail information about hardware sections of the high accuracy digital delay pulse generator which was produced for Insitute of Physics.CAS is introduced firstly, including the principles of each component, main constituents, functions and some details. Previous large amounts of counters used for different delay periods are replaced by FPGA in design and simulation. The circuit power consumes to lower and the volume of the circuit decreases.Secondly, the paper introduces the software sections of the high accuracy digital delay pulse generator, describes the functions and operation modes of each module and explains the working modes of the top device and the bottom device in detail. Finally, this paper offers description about the results of experiments and a summary.
