The Status Quo Of China's Agricultural Television Programs And Improved Countermeasures

Three-dimensional rural problems that are issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers being concerns for quite long time are fundamental topics in China. These years, the Party and government place great emphasis on them. As mighty media of modern society, TV stations of all levels in China have responsibilities, obligations and capacities to serve farmers well and produce marvelous agriculture programs. Whereas, the agriculture TV programs in practice are quite a contrast to their due effects and cannot meet the needs of farmers. According to this situation, through the data collected from the investigations on farmers in Sheyang County, this article finds out the problems of agriculture programs and analyzes the main political, economic and cultural factors which influence agriculture programs. The problems of agriculture programs urgent to be improved are that the quantity of them is smaller, the direction of them is obscurer, the reliability is lower, and the visibility is poorer. And facing this reality, the author puts forward the countermeasures, which are to set up agriculture channels, perfect cooperative nets, build people oriented conception, cultivate outstanding specialists, intensify administration, forbid charged news, enhance program patterns, and improve the visibility of programs. Only in this way can indeed improve the communication effect of agriculture programs.
