Study On The Development Countermeasures Of Journals Of Agricultural Technology

The journals of agricultural technology are important components of the journals of agricultural science and technology and they are the important carriers for disseminating information of agricultural science and technology. Studies on the development mode and development countermeasures of the journals of agricultural technology have an important practical significance for improvement of their overall level and supply modern agricultural development with information of science and technology.This paper is an empirical study on the journals of agricultural technology. It comparatively has analysed the current situation of development and characters of domestic and foreign agricultural technological journals, the classification characters of agricultural technological journals, academic journals and popular science journals, the characters in region, season and period of limitation as well as their status and roles in extension of new agricultural techniques. It has studied and analyzed the professional fields, publishing frequency, the time of start publication, the sponsor units, regional distribution, the award-winning journals and those been selected as core journals of 393 agricultural technological journals. Questionnaire and statistical data analysis were made on organizational management, distribution, advertisement, the source of funds, the annual number of articles published, the number of editor and so on of 34 journals selected from the 393 ones. The principal situation of agricultural technological journals has been studied and the author put forward the problems in managerial system, operational mechanism, the printed number of each issue and distribution, marketing, editing power and so on.The author thinks that under the conditions of market economy, the agricultural technological journals should be ushered publication of periodical journals, the development by grouping of enterprises and the network publishing. The author thinks that based on further deepen the understanding of the position and the law of agricultural technological journals and with the principles of improvement of the quality of journals, agricultural technological journals should be properly positioned and they should have their own characteristics and be exquisite workmanships. At the same time, use the three modes of the theory of triple marketing and selling in journal management in developed countries, we should adopt flexible and various management methods, strengthen the vitality in management of journals and promote the economic strength, and enhance the sustainable development of journals. In addition, the mode of journals run by institutions should be destroyed, the new ideas such as gear the journals to society and run journals jointly or collectively should be tried in order to improve the overall competitive capacity of agricultural technological journals through large scale operation. Under the conditions of Internet environment, the modem medium technology should be fully utilized so as to realize modernization in editing work and diversity in publishing method. Journal network station should be established and electronic journals should be published in order to serve the agricultural development better in information age.
