Since reform and opening up, China's rural economy and society has undergone enormous changes. The CPC growing attach great importance to the problems of the countryside, agriculture and the farms . There are 80% of the population of China live in the countryside, speaking in this case, weather China can can enter the ranks of moderately mid-developed countries in the21 century ,the key lies in the reformation in countryside. As the most popular media, TV should exert itself for the reformation of the countryside. At the same time, the market of the TV programs that targeti to rural population has increased gradually, and this bring forward higher request to the development of this TV programs. However, Chinese TV programs targeting rural population have many questions at present,i.e the televiewer in the rural has not been valued and the modle of program is old. Through analysis and discuss on the main problems in China's current television programmes to rural televiewer, reference the experience of the successful programs, and then put forwards some countermeasures for the future development of Chinese TV programs targeting rural population. First of all, to strengthen building the hadware of the rural television,and the arrangement of programme broadcast time should as much as possible in line with the peasant's viewing habits,the content and type of the programs make the rural televiewer love to see and hear.Meanwhile the programs should be based services, targeted prominent, pursuit of timeliness and increase visibility.And take the social and economic realities as starting point, the development of Guangdong Province's rural programs on the one hand should focus on the information dissemination, make the program really useful to the farmers of our Guangdong province. On the other hand, subdivis the audience market and according to geographical features made pointed provide various kinds of information . In addition, take into account different dialects audience suggest to add Hakka and Chaozhou board in Cantonese programs.
