Based On Web Service Service-oriented Workflow Management System

Workflow is the core technology for the enterprises process modeling, process simulating & analyzing,process optimizing and process managing & integrating. The final aim of workflow system is to realize the automation of business process. Early workflow systems are centralized in structure,that is,only one workflow system engine is used to finish the entire process instance execution. In addition, for the lack of dynamic and cooperative process definition, early workflow systems cann't adapt well to the distributed application of multi-organization and multi framework. Information resource of modern enterprise and modern government are more heterogeneous,distributed and incompact-coupling,which request the modern workflow system can deal with.With the development of Web Service,the concept of software service prevail in IT industry. The nice openness,cooperation and independence on software & os make Web Service the optimal technique to settle the integration of heterogeneous system. As the essential component of enterprise IT construction,workflow system itself is prone to be issued in the mode of software service,besides,the workflow requirements of distribution,multi-framework and cooperation can be solved using Web Service. Hereby, the introduction of Web Service certainly will promote workflow system to a new stage.Firstly,paper introduce the workflow and Web Service technology,study the development of workflow technology and relevant model & design,analyze detailedly the theory,structure and realization of Web Service,discuss the feasibility of solving disadvantage of present workflow system using Web Service.Secondly,paper design a workflow system model based on Web Service. the combination of Web Service and workflow system settle well the workflow integrating of distributed-heterogeneous framework,satisfy the concept of taking software as service. In addition,paper discuss the technology of enhancing the flexibility of workflow system and bring forward some practical method.Next,using the forementioned workflow module,paper analyze the actual implementation technology of workflow system based on Web Service,introduce detailedly the design of service oriented workflow framework,discuss the design,structure and realization of workflow engine.Finally,basing on the former theory and the practical situation of the Standardized Information Management Platform project of ShanXi Power Science Academe,paper presents the feasible project solution.
