This paper introduces the concept of Lightweight Workflow based on the Lightweight Workflow theory and its status quo. It presents a framework of Lightweigh Workflow built on relational database. The framework consists of three components: organization model, information model and control model. It proposes an implementation to build a Lightweight Workflow Engine based on these three components above. This paper also studys on the interaction between application system and workflow system to find out the relationship between application data and workflow data. At the end, this paper discusses using data mining technology to optimize the workflow by looking for the association rule. According to the above theory, the author developed a Lightweight Workflow Engine and implements to the critical testing workflow management system to testify the approach. |
