Alarm Systems, Marine Engine Room Monitoring Based On Lonworks Technology

The fieldbus control system adopts intelligent equipments, breaking through the faults of the distributed control system. The signal transfer accomplishes the wholly digitalization. The structure of the system is wholly distributed, the network is open connected, the technology and the standard achieve wholly open. On the basis of study on a couple of prevailing fieldbus, combined with the development of fieldbus-based monitoring system of marine engine room in Shanghai Ship & Sipping Research Institute, which the author joins the design and technical features of fieldbus systems are analyzed, the advantages to adopt fieldbus technology in marine engine room are discussed, the basic operating principle of LonWorks fieldbus is approached, the structural scheme of LonWorks bus-based monitoring and alarm system of marine engine room is proposed, and the buildup, function, data collecting and processing, and monitoring software thereof are detailedly expounded to some extent.With the characteristics of actual ship-board conditions having been fully considered, the system has been designed to have friendly interfaces, convenient operation and management, reliable performance. During the development of this system ,a number of technologies in the computer information area have been employed such as the technology in fieldbus, network, database, NETDDE etc. As a result, this system is characterized by the following points:1) The basic element of LonWorks—Neuron(r) chip is adopted, and the system has communication and control functions; easily extended and neatly combined.2) The design methods according to objects are adopted, and save plenty of design work and increase communication reliability at the same time.3) Free topologic twisted-pair structure is easy to collocation.4) Advanced language is used to program and has good programmability.5) The nodes of network are logically connected, so node increasing...
