Monitoring and alarm system is an important part in the engineering automation,it can monitor the working conditions and parameters of all kinds of power equipments in marine engine room exactly and reliably.Once the power equipment fails,it can send out acousto-optic alarm signal and print the table automatically.Besides,it can display all the fault states on the monitor screen in the watch engine room.Therefore,the engineer on watch does not need to patrol,the engine room,only stay in the watch engine room can they seize the working conditions and the parameters of all kinds of equipments.Under the circumstances of no humans in the watch engine room,it groups alarm signal,then extends the signal to the bridge,public sites and the accommodations of the chief engineer and other engineers.This paper first introduces the classification of monitoring and alarm system in marine engine room,taking two typical monitoring and alarm systems for example, introduces its constitution,working principle and its data collection respectively,then predicts its trend of development.Secendly,introduces the functions of monitoring and alarm system,studies the extended alarm function in detail.Then follow the watch bridge unit of DC C20 monitoring and alarm system,designs a set of marine extended alarm hardware unit,in order to simulate real extended crouse of the fault signal in the engine through communication of the upper monitor and this hardware.Under the circumstance of Protel DXP,making use of the embedded technology of Single-chip Microcomputer to design the hardware circuit of the marine extended alarm unit.Then introduces every composition component,including MCU and its peripheral circuit,ZLG7290B CMOS chip and its peripheral circuit,display and control circuit,photoelectricity insulation circuit,data storage circuit,communication circuit and so on. Secondly,under the circumstance of Keil C51,making use of the C language to compile programme of lower computer of this hardware unit.At last,taking the computer as the simulative upper monitor,basing on the technology of ethernet network,making use of UDP testing tools to debug this hardware,so as to observe if it could work correctly.On the basis of the accurate hardware circuit and upper computer programme,the author gets the simulation display through programming language C#.Once faults display on the interface of the monitoring system,its detailed information can send to the screen of designed extended alarm unit exactly and timely,in order to achieve well communication of the upper and lower computer.First of all,utilize the Object-Oriented technique to categorize the simulative software into many subobjects to achieve certain functions,then compile every object to a class via the programming language Visual C#. Next,under circumstance of Microsoft Visual C#.Net,with the help of many kinds of grap making tools,form lots of simulation interfaces which can ensure some functions about simulation operating and displaying.Finally,the author accomplishes the simulative software by connecting simulative interfaces with those classes effectively.
