The twenty-first century is a century of knowledge economy and it witnesses knowledge management progressively playing a markedly important role in the social world. The tacit knowledge, especially, has come to be a fundamental force for enterprises to extend their knowledge assets and progress their competitive competence, and it has been an essential part of knowledge management framework as well. As for knowledge-oriented organizations like libraries, enforcing the tacit knowledge management would be of considerable significance for the improvement of their service quality and working efficiency.For the reasons above, this paper firstly probes into the implication of library tacit knowledge management based on the analysis of the implication of knowledge management and tacit knowledge management. Afterwards, exploring the experiences on tacit knowledge management from three knowledge-oriented domestic and abroad enterprises, that is, knowledge innovation from the Microsoft, knowledge share and knowledge asset management from the Tsinghua Ziguang, and career planning from 3M Company, the author, considering the nature and peculiarity of library work, puts forward a model of library tacit knowledge management framework. Besides, with the attempt to dredge hidden tacit knowledge, promote tacit knowledge share and improve the integrated quality of libraries, the paper recommends the establishment of a stimulation system aiming at inspire initiative and creativity of the knowledge-oriented organization staff.
