Embedded Digital Home Monitoring System

In this paper, the architecture of monitor system based on Ethernet was brought forward. According the architecture, the author developed a monitor system. The system uses monitoring equipment to collect information at monitoring scene, and then the data is sent to the monitoring center to be processed and stored. When there has warnings, the monitoring center would send control command by monitoring database in time. The monitoring equipment consists of data collecting card and network communicating card. Local controller card take charge of incepting the control command from monitoring center. They are all controlled by singlechips, C51 and 51 assemble were used to develop the controlling software.The family monitor system based on Ethernet has the following mainly functions and characteristics: data collections, collect the monitor datas of monitor local, such as temperature, humidity , fire; warning when has abnormity circs , analyse the collection data, warn at the same time if find some abnormity; network communication, system can pass the collection environmental informations and warning informations to monitor center by Ethernet; storage monitor data, mainly store environmental parameters and warning infoemations including srore in locale and database; get realtime monitor data, user can get the monitor data not only by locale but from the server in monitor center; user setup themselvs, users can setup monitor object according to their require; send control order, when has abnormity the system can send order to avoid deterioration, or send order in advanced to satisfy user require.The main characteristic is connetion with network directly. The system use Ethernet as transmission channel, use cheap 51 singlechips as MCU, and μC/OS-Ⅱ Realtime Operating System is the controlling software. At the same time, the system with simple structure and cheap, can directly use home-wiring and abundance Internet resource. It has great value in use for equipment room, depot, intelligent village and family.In the end, the thesis concludes the performance of the system and gives some advice of further development.
