In this paper, the architecture of monitor system based on Ethernet and Internet/Intranet was brought forward. According the architecture, the author developed a monitor system. The system uses monitoring equipment to collect information at monitoring scene, and then the data is sent to the monitoring center to be processed and stored. The monitoring equipment consists of data collecting card and network communicating card. They are controlled by singlechips, realize the functions of data collecting and network communicating each. μC/OS-Ⅱ Realtime Operating System, C51 and 51 assemble were used to develop the controlling software. In the design of monitoring database, Microsoft Access database was used as the background database, and Visual C++ was used as development tool. The system with simple structure, is accurate and cheap. It has great value in use for equipment room, depot, intelligent village and family.
