Radar signal processor is an important part in radar system. The chief task of radar signal processing are disturbance suppression and signal detection. Modern radar signal processing mostly adopts digital signal processing, and it requires the higher quality signal supplied by forepart digital receiving and waveform processing part.Orthogonal sampling is the first step of signal processing, which is in charged of the task of supplying high quality data for the later process. Direct intermediate frequency digital orthogonal sampling is one of the important techniques in modern radar system.Pulse compression radar can keep the high distance resolution for narrow pulse radar and strong detection ability for wide pulse radar.in addition it has a strong anti-jamming ability. Currently, pulse compression has a wide application in modern radar system.The project implementing methods and optimization algorithm of orthogonal sampling and pulse compression are studied in this dissertation combined with the research work that the author participated in. The methods and skill are given in the design of orthogonal sampling and pulse compression in FPGA with CSD thought. It can be seen from the simulation result and practical measurement, the methods used in the dissertation not only optimize the digital circuit area, but also work to the speed.The design thinking and methods can solve the practical problems in radar signal process algorithm, in addition it can also be applied to other algorithm field.
