The Integrated Digital Storage Capabilities Of Embedded Positioning And Navigation System

This thesis discussed is attached to one of the projects sponsored by Zhejiang Province Medium and Small Scale Enterprises Technology Innovation Fund named Embedded Portable Navigator Integrated the Function of Digital Storage ( The number of project: 2004D40001).With the development of the social economy and the science and technology, the road transportation has been playing more and more important role that contributes a lot to the country economy and our society. As a significant part of the road transportation, car navigation is becoming attracting. We make use of GPS for providing the car navigation with globalized , omnidirectional and all-weather positioning. At the same time, all kinds of digital storage cards are prevailing and customers are beginning to make demand of accessing the data of digital devices without computers. The function of embedded navigation which meets people's needs can be fulfilled by adopting the embedding technology combined with GPS/GIS navigation and digital storage technology.Based on the embeded system theory, this paper introduces the design of the embeded navigating theory, hardware design and software design. This paper includes seven chapters. In the first chapter, some fundmental concept and the relevant background of the embeded navigation presented. Chapter 2 introduces GPS/GIS technology and theory. Chapter 3 introduces the principle of the embeded system, the embeded GIS system and Windows CE. The design and components of the system's hardware are introduced in chapter 4. Chapter 5 introduces the design of the system software. The application program design of the system and the results of the experiment are respectively introduced in chapter 6 and chapter 7.
