This paper focuses on the long-distance device monitoring schemes. The system customer end uses the B/S structure, namely browser / server structure. In order to facilitate the customers to visit the system through browser anywhere, Java applet is applied. When located in the server, applet could be downloaded by the user from browser. For the inquirying convenience, the SQL database is established on the server to record equipment data and the user information. The main function of the control end is to pass various equipments data to the server while C/S structure is being taken. According to the complex degree, three kinds of solutions are proposed in this thesis for the control end.In the first solution, RS485 bus is taken. In this plan, server and equipments' sensors are connected directly. The simple structure insures stable performance, while wired transmission insures high accuracy and good antijamming effect. On the other hand, the disadvantages are the wiring request and distance limit up to 1,200 meters.The wireless network is used in the second plan. The wireless character is especially suitable to the wire forbidden occasion, supplementing RS485 insufficiencies. We used TI Corporation's MSP430 as control chip, while took general wireless transceiver module with UART opened as communication means. In order to simplify the system, single host is assured in the system, and simultaneously software condition machine is maintained to guarantee the normal operation.The third solution is industry Ethernet solution based on ARM. This plan is suitable for the big region situation. The ARM controller, treated as microserver, control the data from partial system, which is composed of RS485 bus and wireless network. We selected S3C44B0 as the ARM controller, while took uC/OS as operating system, and transplanted TCP/IP Lean as the net transceiver protocol.Finally are the summary and forecast. Providing 485 interface, the framework also can monitor muti-physical quantity as well as electicity.
