Lean production is an advanced production method created by Japanese Toyota Company in 1950s-60s. Based on two pillars of jidoka (including machine automation and the automatic implementation) and Just In Time (JIT), Lean Production needs strict monitoring of industrial production process in order to achieve the required results.Processing industrial monitoring system based on Lean Production style, including discrete process monitoring and continuous process monitoring. This paper mainly makes study from these two aspects. For discrete monitoring in production process, this paper will discuss the discrete monitoring of the production process of jidoka and kanban management system in production line condition monitoring system will be introduced. The production process control, the application of kanban in production management will be also expounded in detail. For continuous monitoring system in production, this paper will first discuss the general structure of industrial information and control systems, division function, system integration, data exchange network environment definitive technical studies, open database and remote data communications, data exchange technology and characteristics and requirements in the general information industry monitoring system. Then we will discuss the expert system based on improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and its construction in Lean Production monitoring system. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of fault-based prediction model for continuous production process will forecast the possible failure in the production process and help equipment maintenance workers to eliminate the equipment failures required by Lean Production for equipment maintenance.Finally the simulation of the production process monitoring system will show actual production test environment and production process parameters. Through continuous production process fault prediction expert system could target the main fault in the production process. It can advise the workers to take corresponding measures to prevent the occurrence of failures. If they can not solve the problem on the spot, remote expert could help them to solve the problems through remote means of communication. Practice has proved that the production process control methods and technologies this paper discussed can be used to meet the requirements of modern Lean Production model, and it will help enterprises make great progress in production management.
