This paper designs the target simulator for a certain kind of MMW system on bomb, which can compose an indoor simulation system of half practicality to test the MMW system on bomb.First, a target simulator for Doppler Radar is designed and completed. It can simulate the Doppler frequency of the bomb and can be used to inspect the CW Doppler Radar of 8mm wave length.The emphasis of this paper is the design of the target simulator for pulse Radar. First, the reflective character of target is analyzed. The target model is structured using vector resultant of multi-scatter center. Second, based on the character of land clutter, different kinds of land clutter are simulated. Last, the hardware of the system is designed. The reflected wave of the target is produced by computer simulation. The results of simulation are converted directly to real-time reflected wave, so that the information of the target is simulated. The simulator has the character of flexibility and convenience, with the parameters adjustable. It can simulate the reflected wave of MMW fuze target. It can be used to simulate target practice indoor with MMW fuze system. As a result, it can save capital.
