Nowadays such units as the airports and train stations have more and more high expectations for safety inspection equipment. For those general x-ray image systems, the shortcomings of high costs and large cubage behaves more and more remarkably. We try to use new device to reduce the cost and use the technology of digital picture process to improve the picture quality. And this Solution was proved effectively.As the part of "movable digitizing x-ray image system" project, the research get financial support from scientific and technological office of jiangsu province. The primary work is study digital image processing technology of safety inspection x-ray system.The dissertation open up deeply study with the task "Research of digital image processing technology in safety inspection x-ray system". We study the character of image generating by the safety inspection x-ray system, bring forward new algorithms which are adaptive to that kind of image and design a PCB system to realize the target of real-time processing. All the works above acquire good effect. With the character of image, we create a new complex algorithm and devise the hardware according as the algorithm. The nucleus of the PCB system are FPGA(EP1C6, ALTERA Corp) and DSP(TMS320VC33, TI Corp). Matched with other chips, the system can achieve the real-time processing . It also have the function of correspondence with PC.
