The Automatically Switched Optical Network(ASON)can configure the network intelligently according to the type and traffic of service and the network sources, so gives the optical network the ability of providing configurable bandwidth and dynamic end-to-end connection management.In this design, the research and analysis about ASON signaling protocol is performed,then the RSVP-TE protocol in wavelength-routed optical network, which coincides with the UNI1.0 signaling specification, is achieved on existing node devices. The detailed anqalysis about ASON signaling protocol is given. The function and interfaces of CP in ASON is introduced, the extension of GMPLS to MPLS to realize seamless link of IP and optical layer is presented, the separation of call and connection in ASON and the relationship between ASON and GMPLS are discussed, then the characteristic and difference of CR-LDP and RSVP-TE protocols are compared, the speciality and application of parallel signaling and hop-by-hop signaling are analyzed. In this design, we add the embedded function of CP signaling on existing optical node device (SDH ADM/MSTP and OADM/OXC), achieve the RSVP-TE signaling protocol,which coincides with the UNI1.0 signaling specification, and the establishment,teardown and maintenance of SC LSP in wavelength-routed optical network on the basis of RTOS, including: select the type of signaling control channel and the messages and objects on UNI and NNI and how to create the explicit route according to the specifications and the characteristic of hardware; design the databases to achieve the protocol, neighbor and service discovery and interfaces with the route module; design the state transmission diagram of resources and LSPs, decide how to judge and solve the errors in the process of disposing the messages, write code to realize the RSVP-TE protocol and such processes: successful connection established, connection teardown initiated by source UNI-C, destination UNI-C and ONE, connection setup rejected by ONE and destination UNI-C and LSP refresh; test the RSVP-TE signaling, especially in error conditions, design the method and drivers of the testing. We also research some key technicals of RSVP-TE signaling in the process of realization, put forward corresponding solutions and achieve them. According to the specialty of signaling messages and RTOS, we setup a new combined mode of the cycle and concurrent mode on the whole architecture of the signaling software;design a method of dynamic apply and release of memory, to avoid the cumulation of memory fragment;achieve the soft state refresh using Srefresh message;design a method of restraining alarms in TP when the connection teardown initiated by source UNI-C; put forward a scheme for accidental lose of data packet in connectionless message distribution.
