As next generation boardband network' s major basic contruction network,ASON can provide some services which is needed by large IP boardband network,such as network traffic guiding, load balance of heavy loading network, QoS ofheavy loading network.The issue has research on the ASON and it's traffic engineering, givingout an ASON network design proposal. An ASON network in province area has beenbuild base on this design, it has realized the ASON network and the traditionaloptical network perfect fusion.The core technology is GMPLS in ASON network. It use RSVP-TE as it'ssignaling and OSPF-TE as it's routing protocol. GMPLS compute the label switchpath for different service at the ASON network import node, assign data flowby using lable switch path. Using LMP to manage rescources in the optical networkat the same time. Network Administrator can guide the traffic flow, flowdirection by applying traffic engineering in the ASON network, network rescourcecan be used more effectly than before.In the ASON network, the issue complete the study and testing about ShareRisk Link Group, Constraint-based link configuration, link protected, loadbalancing and services replacing.The issue still give out a plan of ASON-oriented Internet networkconstruction. Building Internet network on the ASON network, and Multiplexingone 40G link into four IOG link. The issue design a new plan for the mergingof IP network and ASON, and design it's new network construction.
