MIL-STD-1553B is a credible data bus with high transmission reliability.It especially used in the key computer module which realizes the communication between the real-time sensor and the control unit.It is also widely applied in many aspects of military area and becomes a standard data bus recognized around the world.With the demand of modern aviation electric,the importance of aviation communication is continuously enhanced.Now MIL-STD-1553B becomes the first choice of aviation bus,and becomes more and more important. In this paper,the author studied MIL-STD-1553B protocol,and introduce the process which realizes the MIL-STD-1553B bus with the UT69151 chip. The author designs IFMBI system to handle the MIL-STD-1553B protocol.The core of the this system is TMS320VC5409 of TI company and the UT69151 of UTMC company.1553B bus has high transmission speed and strong error correcting ability.We adopt TMS320VC5409 which provides a bridge for the system to communication with the exterior data process center,so the whole system has more flexible communication and interface capacity and it also can do the real time processing. The author also realizes the connection of BC and RT, in order to testing the IFMBI system, sends a sine wave from the BC to RT. At the end of paper, the author brings forward an idea to handle MIL-STD-1553B protocol with FPGA, and made a thorough discussion on the detecting of synchronization head and the decoding of Manchester.
