Analysis Of The Network Management Platform, Database Systems Design And Automatic Fault Alarm Realization

With the development of computer network, network management becomes one of the very important and indispensable parts to guarantee the stability and availability of network. Firstly, this article introduces some basic theory of the network management, including the main functional area of network management, some main network management protocols, especially the related concepts and structure of the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). Secondly, after analyzing the structure of the Management Information Base (MIB) of SNMP, the database of network management platform is designed in detail. At the same time, this article does some research on SNMP Trap and SNMP++, and also describes the implementation of network fault management in the environment of windows using SNMP trap mechanism by means of Visual C++ 6.0 and SNMP++. At last, it makes some prospects of the developing of the network management and gives a plan for further research work.
