Since 1950s, the Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) kept on developing, now it was widely applied in military and civilian domain. In 1980s, by the development of digital signal processing technology and general-purpose DSP chips, the level of Radar imaging technique was kept on developing. Based on the digital processing technique in frequency domain, developed a new combined window for higher ratio of mainlobe to sidelobe (RMS) and lower mainlobe widening factor (MWF) and obtained satisfied results in certain Doppler frequency. Simulated R-D algorithm of SAR imaging by softwarea and parallel signal procession system for high speed radar based on two Hammer Head PCI broads with four ADSP21160s is constructed and the R-D algorithm of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is realized on it. The R-D algorithm is executed in time by using high efficient parallel procession algorithm and high speed data transferring method. The simulation results proved that the realization of R-D algorithm is correct and real-time. The main content in this dissertation include:1. The pulse compression processing of broad band Linear Frequency Modulated (LFM) signal is completed. The performance of pulse compression by adding different windows are analysized. In order to obtain higher RMS and lower MWF, a new type window is developed and satisfied results are obtained in certain Doppler frequency. 2. The basic principle and signal processing of SAR imaging are described. Single target and mulit-target echo imaging are simulated by software.3. Researched the parallel arithmetic of mass DSPs. Through designing high efficient parallel procession algorithm for range dimension, high speed data transferring method and reasonable timing for cross dimension, the R-D parallel procession algorithm is realized in processing system of two HHPC broads. Imaging pictures of simulative signal including single target and multi-target are gained by the system.
