Jiangsu Private Book Industry Development Strategy Research

Experts focus on the non-governmentally operated bookstore (NGOB) in recent years. Now, the NGOB is authorized to distribute books .The foreign capital is approved to invest the issuance of books, newspapers & magazines. Xinhua Bookstores' reform is on the new stage. How to develop the NGOB under these backgrounds?Jiangsu is a province with abundant cultural accumulation. Its economy development, social civilization, the foundation of publication and issuance come out top nationally. But, comparing to the developed area such as Guangdong and Shanghai, Jiangsu falls behind them in the field of the NGOB, though it has considerable scale and corresponding status nationally. How to develop the NGOB in Jiangsu?The paper analyzes the history, policy and international background of the Jiangsu NGOB development, introduces and analyzes the actualities, the types of the bookstores, advantages and disadvantages of the Jiangsu NGOB, and on the basis of these, tries to form a reference to management intuition of publication & issuance(MIPI) and Jiangsu NGOB, puts forward the developing strategies of Jiangsu NGOB in the views of both MIPI and Jiangsu NGOB. The phenomena of non-governmentally operated publication are also briefly introduced, analyzed and pondered at the ending of this paper.
