The Development Of Non-governmentally Operated Book Industry In Mainland Of China From 1978 To 2007

Non-governmentally operated book industry (NGOBI) in mainland ofchina, from its primitive accumulation to management increment , making good omissions and deficiencies to indispensable , non-standarded to the norm level, has made great progress since the year 1978.From small to large, NGOBI has experienced the process of being authorized for retailing to that being authorized for two—step distribution and finally even gained the total distribution qualification. This paper also inspect the process that the successive steps of NGOBI from issuing a retail to participating in compiling content, book planning and book editing ,which are in the core field of publishing structure in china.Now,NGOBI has already become an important component of our nation publish industry and a fresh momentum during the great-leap-forward development of our nation publish industry. This paper trace the history of NGOBI and classify the history of NGOBI into six historical periods; discribe the fundamental form of NGOBI ; analysize the historical contribution of NGOBI. Besides, more importance was attached on that why the NGOBI arise .The arising of NGOBI can't be separated from material base and society opportunity at that time. It includes: intellectual's getting involved in , "the Cultural deserts " after "reading hunger and thirst ", publishing industry progress, keen people of NGOBI and gigantic market after 1980s.so all-direction scanning is carried out for NGOBI in such fields as history, publishing industry ,politics, economy, law , culture , social and education circumstances.The main purpose of this paper is to trace whose history , to probe into whose agent , to analyze whose mechanism , to make whose effect clear , to analyze whose nature ,and to clear away the theory obstacles so as to be helpful to reorganize china's national publish industry , at the same time with the aims to deal with globalization we are confronting in publish fields, to expand our nation publish industry and reconstruct china into a publish power.
