| Along with the incessant development of IT, the ability of acquiring information is significantly improved. Thus the readers have increasingly higher requirement to the information services, namely, they need not only to get timely trace of documents, but also need integrate services on information consulting and information searching as well as documents supplying, and even need individual and deep-structure services. On the other hand, there are large quantity of information resources on the internet And this information on the internet has the characteristics of huge quantity, varied categories, multimedia, multi-linguistic, lacking of rules, across time and regions as well as cross industry sectors. Therefore, readers wish that library should supply selected information after shifting, processing and integration. This thesis put forward to proposal of establishing an integrate service system in Dalian University of Technology Library based on information resource integration after investigating the varied service contents of present university libraries and modern library and taking University development plan into consideration so as to meet to needs of readers to integrate information. This integration service system states that the Dalian University of Technology Library could be determined by following main service systems: information searching service; information agency service; reader's borrowing and reading service; timely consulting; training to readers; information navigation service; information publication service and interlibrary document service. The details of the above services functions could be crossly exerted and melted so as to make the services of Dalian University of Technology Library more comprehensive, integrated, and more convenient to readers. In order to fulfill the operation of information integration service system the thesis suggests to make a new design to the organization structure of DUT library. |
