Private Directory And The Era Of Academic Culture,

The three systems of the private, official and historiographical bibliography constitute the principal part of the Chinese traditional bibliography. The importance of the private bibliography is embodied in its relationships between politics at that time, science and culture as well as in bringing forth new ideas to subdirectory and its supplement, collecting the lost to supply deficiency, distinguishing the academic categories and investigating the academic origin. The changing of the specific items and the contents collected can be confirmed in the historical and social environment and the environment related to the personal life, thus becoming a key to studying other academic tasks. This thesis discusses the relationships between the private bibliography, politics at that time, science and culture, and finally, tries to comment on the interactive academic phenomenon conclusively.
