Chinese Media To Survive Changes In The Environment

With the rapid development of our Chinese modern society, the environment in which the mass media has been has also changed greatly. This kind of modification can be recognized in four different aspects: firstly, the outer political and economical situations are largely different from that of 20 years ago. The trend is from Pan-politicization to main streani of economical life, which has consequently influenced what to report in journalism and communication practice and what to research in mass media theories. Secondly, the party papers in different levels used to be the body of challenge in the inner environment of media. Nowadays it has been taken placed by the individual publishing establishments in the marketing economy. Thirdly, new communication technology brought the prosperity of the network as the new medium. This accelerates the progress of global economy. On the other hand, it has also made the development of traditional media slower. Finally, as the record of people and events of our time, the mass media is rather active than any other social element. It can not only adjust the changing society but also modify the environment in software respects. In this case, the whole process of the human being society is just the process of the interaction between the social environment and the mass media.In conclusion, this thesis tries to explain the unique relationship between the mass media and the society on which it relies.
