On A Well-off Society And Mass Media Interaction

The term "well-off" society originates from a kind of assumption produced by ancient Chinese ideologists, which is mainly associated with the depiction and anticipation of the ample well being. Chinese Communist Party infuses new contents into this term and makes it a totally new concept relevant to Socialism with Chinese characteristics. With regard to the connotation, to build the "well-off" society not only involves the objects of materials and economy, but also those of cultural and political construction. The "well-off society is the transitional phase between the traditional society and modern society, during which, we must be fully culturally, economically and politically, prepared to take a great leap into modern society.It is a special period which is sinoficationalized. According to the new concept of development, we have settled down what material, spiritual and political civilization requires of us and with which we can remove the major conflict in socialist construction period. Our goal has always focused on the material and spiritual civilization construction. In the Sixteenth National Congress, the Chinese Communist Party added a new concept to it, political civilization. Consequently, the research about the relationship between three civilization and mass media is of great significance. This paper is an attempt to discuss the relationship between the above-mentioned three civilization and mass media based on the reality of the construction of well-off society. The main contents are as follows:From the perspective of material civilization: mainly focusing on the importance of mass media in China's current national economy; making analysis on the current market structure of China's mass media with the support of industrial economics, which is based on the process of the industrialization of China's mass media; Introducing Game Theory to make analysis on the collusion of leaders in charge and principals of mass media who are unique to well-off society, and proposing personal view of reducing the occurrence of this sort of collusion and upgrading the awareness of the public.From the perspective of spiritual civilization: mainly focusing on the fact that science and technology as a part of spiritual civilization, is promoting the development of mass media in well-off society; in the meantime, analyzing the pluralism and realism of social thoughts which result from the current social life styles, and combining with the interactiveness between public and media to put forward approaches to making effective directions of public opinion in the well-off society.From the perspective of political civilization: based on the analysis of the features of political civilization in the well-off society, putting forward the fact that the supervision by public opinion is the interior requirement for political civilization in the well-off society, and administrative publicity is the basis of supervision by public opinion.The innovative points in this paper lie in: 1.
