The ESP monitor and control system based on CAN Bus implements accurate measurement of ESP operation parameters and data process, then it provides credible data support for ESP fault diagnosis technology.The ESP monitor and control system is designed through utilization of advanced CAN fieldbus technology and engineering software development. Main contents of the paper are as follows.1. The design and implementation of CAN Bus network adapter is presented in the paper. It gives solution to information exchange between monitor control software and CAN Bus network.2. The design and implementation of Remote Test Unit which completes digital measurements of industry field signals of ESP and communicates with monitor control software through CAN Bus network adapter is introduced in this paper.3. The design of monitor and control software is introduced in the paper which involves visualization of real time measurement data and convenient online operation of the ESP monitor and control system.4. The importance of CAN Bus application layer protocol is discussed, as well as design and implementation of it. A novel network performance parameters measuring method based on protocol analysis software is presented for analysis of CAN Bus protocol and optimization of CAN Bus network performance parameters.5. Disadvantages of traditional MCU program designing method are pointed out and message driving program designing method is presented with its C source code of algorithm which aims at design of MCU communication program.Practical test results verify that the main performance parameters of ESP monitor and control system based on CAN Bus have satisfied the requirements of the actual engineering project. It can be concluded that integration of CAN Bus technology and engineering software is a preferable solution to real-time monitor and control of industry equipments.
