As a high-tech atmosphere pollution control technology, Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) becomes more and more popular for its high efficiency, low energy consumption and handling opium gas. Because of the bad operation and maintenance for Electrostatic Precipitator, most ESP could not reach the designed efficiency. So, how to sufficiently mine manage and control potential for ESP, applying computer technology, electrical and electronic technology, automation technology and network technology to Electrostatic Precipitator, improving the performance and the reliability is a practical task.This paper designs a new intelligent electrostatic precipitator monitor and control system with CAN-bus technology and expert system. This system includes monitor and control nodes, CAN bus and PC. It adopts dual-SST89E554 chip, the host CPU is used to display,communication, fault alarm and so on, the assistant CPU is used for data collection and control, improving the response speed of the control, not only solving the bottleneck problem of system hardware, but also meeting the requirements of real-time systems and improving the system performance. The application of CAN-bus technology can solve the bad reliability and the disadvantage in real time of traditional communication. Applying the expert system in fault diagnosis and giving a reasonable solution when the fault information is not integrity or uncertain has important meaning to assure the security, stabilization and efficient operation of ESP, and makes the maintenance of ESP become more human and convenient.The single chip microcomputer program of the controller is developed with programming C in KeilĪ¼Vision2, and the monitor software of the PC is designed with the VB 6.0. This paper completes hardware and software design of the monitor and control system based on the research of ESP principle, control theory, CAN-bus and expert system. For hardware, it describes the work principle of power supply circuit and function circuit based on the explicit divide of the dual-SST89E554 chip. In the aspect of software, it analyzes the control system, presents the design of control mode and the method of fault diagnose and describes the implement of monitor software by images. Finally, this paper briefly describes the debug step of the monitor and control system, summarizes the paper and indicates the shortage and improvement idea of the system.
