| Geographical Information System (GIS) is a new direction of computer application and research. It is an integration of computer graphics, digital image processing and database management system, etc. It is a computer database management system for capturing, storing, indexing, analyzing and displaying spatial location data. It can combine spatial data and attribute data efficiently, and provide a kind of visible query method.ComponentGIS and WebGIS are hotspot research areas nowadays,and almost every company and institute on GIS has do some work at those areas.ComponentGIS and WebGIS are new technologies today.This papers analyzes the GIS technologies,the implementation of ComponentGIS and WebGIS.Our works focuses on the MapX which is a representative GIS Component and MapXtreme which is a representative WebGIS software platform,and designs a Geographical Information System on posure using MapX in which the methods of dynamic operation on feature(such as adding,deleting,moving) and the operations between attribute data and spatial data have been solved.This paper describes a WebGIS architecture based on MapXtreme,describes the scalability, Client Strategy based on this architecture, analyzes two methods of GIS data Management using MapXtreme:File strategy and Spatial DataBase strategy,and analyzes the problems happened in the process managing GIS data and provides the methods of resolvent.At last,a testing WebGIS example based on MapXtreme is given in this paper.This paper also analyzes the Oracle Spatial which is a representive Spatial Database.and designs a testing example based on Oracle Spatial. |
