The traditional communication lines maintenance depends on The line distance measured by OTDR to determine the boroken point. In fact, the line distance is not equal to the real geographical distance, and so it is difficult to be determined accurately. In more case, this depends the experts' experience more, which is inefficient. WebGIS technology will support the lines maintenance viewable and scientific. To satisfy the practical application demand of the communication department and realize the communication lines maintenance WebGIS system,The main work and contribution are as follows:According to the demand and goal of the system, the main frame was designed. The present main technology of WebGIS was analysed .Based this, Used JS graphics libraries and DHTML, a group of common client components were designed. For more benefit, the data source was deployed by the Tab file and oracle spatial database.Based on oracle spatial, the lines database was optimized on utmost degree. The article analyzed the core components technology of MapXtreme for Java4.8.0, and then realized the core map server. At the same time, the Named Connection Pooling was adopted, and then the stability and efficiency were improved.the communication between the map server and the common client components was established rapidly. The query method of shrinking rank was adopted, which based on the short distance between every line node.To suport the decision-making, two kind of line malfunction analyse themes were designed and realized. To solution the problem of client display technology of present WebGIS about monitor device, DGRA method was put forward, which adopted the DHTML and GIS layers resultant based on Ajax.and then the monitor system of the remote sites environment was realized.
