Concurrent Engineering Environment Decorated Mold Cad System

To shorten time of plane decor development, decor development concurrent has been carried on, of that decor mold design has been a branch project. The paper aims at some research on aspects of decor mold CAD system as follows. On analyzing development process of decor, a new product development method concurrent engineering, is put forward. Based on concurrent engineering theory, decor mold development process is reorganized, system models function and information are built and general structure is made up. Parametric standard part library based on feature is realized in decor mold CAD system. Case-based structure design, top-down design style and navigation mechanism are provided in the system. Data of decor mold design can be managed effectively.
